NEW ORLEANS โ After going 8-4 in the preseason for the best season-opening record since 2013, Tulane volleyball hits the road to face its first two American Conference opponents of the year. The Green Wave take on Temple on Friday before heading to UConn to close out the road trip on Sunday.

QUOTE
"Our team is ready to go and looking forward to the start of the American Conference season. Playing no. 2 Temple on the road will be a challenge. They have a couple of top players in the league and are well-coached. We match up well with them, so we expect a close match. UConn is having a strong start as well. They are tall and athletic, and we will have to beat them with a strong defense and our league-leading offense."
--Tulane head coach Jim Barnes

Temple (7-3) is coming off a weekend sweep at the Big 5 Tournament last weekend in Philadelphia. The Owls took three straight from Villanova on Saturday before winning a 3-1 decision over LaSalle and closing out with a second match sweep against Penn.
The Huskies (9-2) closed out preseason with a 2-1 outing at the Army Invitational in West Point. UConn opened the weekend with a 3-1 loss to Albany before defeating host Army 3-1 and taking St. John's to five sets for a 3-2 victory to close out the weekend.
