LAST TIME OUT
- Tulane evened to 3-3 last weekend at the Allstate Sugar Bowl Classic, first losing a close contest to UT Rio Grande Valley and then dropping the Saturday doubleheader to Bethune-Cookman and Sam Houston State. Senior outside hitter Tea Juric was named to the all-tournament team for the second straight weekend after leading the team in kills.
- The hosting Clemson Tigers dropped two of three matches last weekend at the Carolina Classic in Columbia. The Tigers defeated Winthrop 3-2 in the tournament opener on Friday night but lost the morning game on Saturday to Furman in five sets. Clemson dropped its tournament finale to host South Carolina 1-3.
- East Tennessee State is undefeated on the 2016 season after sweeping its second tournament of the year last weekend at the Liberty Invitational in Virginia. On Friday night, the Buccaneers took all three sets over Hampton. ETSU won both Saturday games as well, defeating USC Upstate 3-1 and once again sweeping the match 3-0 against host Liberty.
- North Dakota evened to 4-4 this week after taking both matches of the doubleheader over Jacksonville State and Alcorn State in Jacksonville, Alabama. The Fighting Hawks went 3-0 in both matches.

SERIES HISTORY
Tulane and Clemson will meet for the first time since 1993 and just the second time in school history this weekend. The Tigers own the sole victory of the series.
The Green Wave will also have their first meeting with ETSU in over two decades. Tulane claimed the only game in the series back in 1994.
North Dakota has been a familiar opponent for Tulane in the last few years, as the teams met three times between 2013 and 2014. The Fighting Hawks own all three wins in the series, defeating Tulane twice on UND's home turf and once in New Orleans.
