NEW ORLEANS - The (-/RV) Tulane women's basketball squad (12-6, 3-2) will not only look to topple the top-ranked UConn Huskies (17-0, 5-0), but also topple their historic 92-game win streak in the process this Sunday in Storrs, Connecticut. The match-up between the two is scheduled to tip-off at Noon CT in front of a national audience on ESPN2. Also be sure to be on the look-out for Tulane's ESPN #HandclapHoopla challenge video they shot over the past week at Mardi Gras World, which is set to debut during the broadcast.
 LAST TIME OUT
• For the first time all season, all 11 players on the roster registered points en route to Tulane's 82-56 win at home over Houston.
• Morgan led with 22 points on 8-of-15 shooting, marking her third straight game with 20+ points. As a result, Morgan's now 1,332 career points moved the junior into Tulane's all-time top-10 scoring list.
• Leslie Vorpahl continued her hot streak, securing her fourth straight game in double figures with 13 points on 5-of-7 shooting.
SERIES HISTORY - UCONN
• Sunday marks the sixth time Tulane and UConn will meet up while in The American together.
• Last year in Storrs, the Wave outscored the Huskies 13-2 to open up the game to hand UConn what was their largest deficit of the season. The Wave led 13-8 at the end of the first quarter before the Huskies went on to outscore Tulane 28-7 in the second and 23-4 in the third. Despite the 80-40 loss, Tulane held UConn to its lowest field goal percentage of the season (.394).
• After two games in Gampel the past two years, Tulane has yet to attempt a free-throw in Storrs.
SCOUTING THE HUSKIES
• No. 1 UConn has won a record 92 straight heading into Sunday's contest, boasting a 17-0 mark this season.
• The Huskies rank first nationally in field goal percentage (.516) and three-point shooting percentage (.419), second in assists per game (22.2) and third in scoring margin (28.9).
• Katie Lou Samuelson leads the squad with 21.4 ppg while Napheesa Collier follows close behind at 19.4 ppg. Samuelson ranks third in the country in three-point field goals per game (3.65) and 12th both in three-point shooting percentage (.463) and points per game. Collier ranks seventh nationally in field goal percentage (.659).
• Samuelson is coming off of a career high 34-point performance at Tulsa, connecting on 13-of-18 from the field, including 7-of-12 three's.
UNCHARTERED WATERS
This Sunday, Tulane will be seeking to obtain its first free-throw attempt in the city of Storrs, after two unsuccessful games the past two years
TOP-2 SHOOTING TEAMS CLASH
In conference play only stats, UConn and Tulane are the top-2 in field goal percentage (.572/.420) and three-point shooting percentage (.420/.367), along with made three-pointers per game (8.4/7.2). In addition, both squads are also top-2 in field goal percentage defense (.298/.372) and three-point percentage defense (.255/.260).
MORGAN'S DOUBLE-DIGIT STREAK
Just two days after being held scoreless for the first time of her career at Middle Tennessee, Morgan erupted for a career high 34 points on a career best 14 made field goals at Vanderbilt on Dec. 5. Morgan has since produced 11 straight games with double-digit points - her career high streak is 13, set last season.
More impressively, Morgan has produced three straight games of 20+ points, averaging 22.0 points on 47.2 percent shooting in that span.
VORPAHL HEATING UP
Vorpahl has recorded double-digit points in eight of the past nine games, including four straight. In the last four games, Vorpahl is averaging 16.5 points on 59.1 percent shooting and a prolific 61.1 (11-of-18) percent shooting from three-point range. As a result, Vorpahl has raised her scoring average from 9.9 to 12.3 ppg.
WHO'S HOT
Outside of the usual two suspects of Morgan and Vorpahl, two other Green Wave have emerged over Tulane's current two-game win streak: Latham has averaged 9.5 points and 4.5 assists while Madzarevic has averaged 6.0 points on 6-of-8 shooting from the field.
