The day's activities will include pregame tailgating with great prizes, entertainment and fireworks and culminates with Tulane hosting one of the biggest games in the stadium's four-year history. The Green Wave enter the game as the only Football Bowl Subdivision team in the state to be undefeated at home this season.
ANGRY WAVE ON YULMAN STADIUM SCOREBOARD
The Angry Wave sculpture, installed on the Yulman Stadium scoreboard on Oct. 16, is going to be officially dedicated prior to kickoff, following the coin toss. The creation was developed by Barry Kern, President and CEO of Kern Studios. The sculpture, constructed with fiberglass and steel, stands 14'7" tall, 6'7" in width and is 20'9" long at a weight of 3,353 pounds.
"As an alumnus and a proud Tulane parent, I am thrilled to present the iconic Angry Wave to the University, and I look forward to seeing it dedicated at the football game on Saturday night," said Barry Kern, the president and CEO of Kern Studios and Mardi Gras World. "More than three decades ago as a student, I was in charge of building a homecoming float for my fraternity, and now seeing the Angry Wave atop the scoreboard at Yulman Stadium, I feel like I've come full circle."
In 1932, Kern Studios built its first float atop a mule-drawn garbage wagon for New Orleans' Mardi Gras, and since then the company has grown to become the world's leading maker of floats, sculpture, and props. Today, Kern Studios designs, builds, and produces parades for more than 40 Carnival organizations in the metro New Orleans area as well as for parades at Universal Studios in Orlando; at Six Flags parks across the United States, in Montreal, and in Mexico City; in France, Japan, and Korea; and in Philadelphia on Thanksgiving Day. Kern Studios' work is also featured in themed environments, entertainment venues, and amusement parks around the globe, including Walt Disney World, the Las Vegas Strip, Universal Studios, Japan's Toho Park, and many others. Kern Studios is located at Mardi Gras World in New Orleans, where visitors can go behind the scenes to see master artists at work year-round. More at kernstudios.com and mardigrasworld.com.

•  A win over USF would give the Green Wave at least four wins through their seven games for just the third time in 20 seasons (1998, 2013). •  The Green Wave have scored 30 or more points seven times in 18 games under head coach Willie Fritz. The Green Wave have a 6-1 record in those games with the one loss coming on a 35-31 setback to SMU on Oct. 29, 2016.
