NEW ORLEANS -- Tulane volleyball's regular season continues winding down this weekend as the team is set to host Cincinnati and ECU at Avron B. Fogelman Arena in the Devlin Fieldhouse. First serve against Cincinnati is set for 7 p.m., Friday, and the Green Wave celebrate Senior Day against ECU at noon on Sunday.

"We have three more home matches before finishing the season, so this weekend is an important one for this team to continue showing growth," head coach Jim Barnes said. "The team hasn't stopped working hard and trying to find a way to right the ship. A lot of inexperienced players are growing up, and I'm hoping that it'll show this weekend because they're competing really hard in practice. They're fighting to get over this hump and finish the season with a winning record."

Last weekend, Tulane dropped both matches of its Florida road trip, falling against UCF and USF. The Green Wave lost in straight sets to UCF Friday night, before dropping a four-set match to USF on Sunday. Sophomore middle hitter Erika Hansel, freshman middle hitter Markenzie Benoit and junior middle hitter Dayna Kern each recorded double-digit kills in the loss to USF.

Sunday's match marks the second-to-last home game for lone senior setter Justine Bowers, who will be honored on the court after the match. Tulane will also recognize Sarah Ray, who played from 2014-16.

"Justine was a major part of last season's team and the turnaround we had," Barnes said. We were really weak in one position: setting. She came in from the beginning and took over to help us make the massive turnaround we had last year. This year she's our only senior, and she works so hard to lead this team. It's tough when you're the only senior on the team, but we owe her a lot for coming here and helping to get this program moving in the right direction."
