
Women's Basketball Readies for Matchup With Middle Tennessee

NEW ORLEANS – After a week off, the Tulane women's basketball team is back in action on Sunday when it faces Middle Tennessee State at Avron B. Fogelman Arena in the Devlin Fieldhouse. Tipoff against the Blue Raiders is set for 2 p.m.
The first 250 fans in attendance will receive a limited-edition Tulane ugly sweater long-sleeve T-shirt, and fans are encouraged to wear their best ugly sweater for a chance at a Tulane prize pack.
Sunday's game is also Youth Sports Day and Father/Daughter Day. Children's tickets to the game can be purchased for just $3 using the code "YOUTH" on TulaneTix.com.
Brad and Dolly Koski will be Tulane's Season Ticket Holders of the Game for the contest. Supporters of the Green Wave since 2000, their favorite concession stand item is the crawfish etouffee.
Fans can watch the game from home through TulaneGreenWave.com. The game will also be broadcast on the radio in New Orleans on WRBH 88.3 FM with Gus Kattengell on the call.
STARTING FIVE
1.   Tulane enters Sunday's game with a week of rest following last Sunday's defeat against LSU. The Tigers controlled the game from the early going and earned a 73-50 victory at Fogelman in Devlin.
2.   Kolby Morgan extended her double-digit scoring streak to 36 games in the win. She last failed to score in double figures against Middle Tennessee in December 2016.
3.   Harlyn Wyatt has now reached double figures in scoring for four consecutive games, the longest streak of her career. She led Tulane with 12 points and five rebounds against LSU on Sunday.
4.   Kolby Morgan is currently the seventh-leading active scorer in the country. She is also 16th in the country in total points this year with 211 as of Thursday morning.
5.   After playing seven of its first eight games on the road, Tulane is currently on a season-long five-game homestand. Tulane will not play on the road again until December 31 at USF.
SERIES HISTORY – MIDDLE TENNESSEE
•   Middle Tennessee and Tulane have a very small history, as the two teams were Conference USA rivals for just one season in 2013-14. MTSU earned a victory that season by a 64-52 score, and the Blue Raiders won another game between the teams in December 2016.
•   In last year's game – a 62-59 win for MTSU – Leslie Vorpahl had 16 points while Meredith Schulte had 13 for the Green Wave.

•   The Blue Raiders, based in Murfreesboro, Tenn., are 6-3 this season. They have posted victories over Vanderbilt, Tennessee Tech, Lipscomb, UNC Asheville, Coppin State and Troy. Their losses came against Ole Miss, Georgia Tech and Louisville.
•   MTSU's top scorer is Abbey Sissom who is averaging 11.2 points per game. Jess Louro is also scoring in double figures at 10.7 points per game.
•   Louro is the team's best rebounder with 6.4 boards per game, and Sissom leads the team with 4.5 assists per contest. The Blue Raiders average 59.6 points per game and give up 54.7 points per game.
WYATT'S DOUBLE-FIGURE STREAK
With her 12-point performance against LSU on Sunday, Harlyn Wyatt extended her double-figure scoring streak to four games, the longest streak of her career. Before this streak, her previous longest double-figure scoring streak was two games in January 2017 at Cincinnati (11) and at Houston (10). Wyatt was Tulane's leading scorer, rebounder and stealer against the Tigers on Sunday.
MORGAN'S DOUBLE-FIGURE STREAK
Thanks to her 11 points against LSU on Sunday, Kolby Morgan has now scored in double figures in 36 consecutive games. The last time Morgan went without a double-digit scoring game? December 3, 2016 at Middle Tennessee State where she failed to score. Of her 111 career games with Tulane, Morgan has scored in double figures in 93 of them.
OUTREBOUNDING = OUTSCORING
The Green Wave are now 4-0 this season when outrebounding opponents and 1-5 when the opponent grabs more rebounds. In victories, Tulane has combined for a +25 rebounding margin. In losses, the Green Wave are a combined -79.

Tulane senior guard Kolby Morgan finds herself near the top of the nation's active career scorers list. With 1,845 points in her career as of Thursday morning, Morgan is the seventh-highest scoring active player in the nation. Morgan is also 10th in the nation among active players in field goal attempts, 11th in field goals made, 18th in points per game, 20th in steals and 20th in 3-pointers made.

Morgan is already having a stellar year for Tulane, ranking in the top 50 in the nation in multiple categories. As of Thursday morning, Morgan is 16th in the country in total points with 211, 16th in made 3-pointers with 33, 20th in 3-pointers attempted with 81, 26th in 3-pointers per game at 3.30, 38th in free throws made at 44 and 50th in field goals made with 67.
