NEW ORLEANS - Owning a 6-0 record at home this season, the Tulane men's basketball team closes out its non-conference schedule on Thursday, December 21. Tipoff is scheduled for noon (CT) at Avron B. Fogelman Arena in the Devlin Fieldhouse.
HISTORY LESSON
• Thursday's meeting between the Green Wave and Jaguars will be the first in four years and fifth overall with the all-time series tied, 2-2.

LAST TIME OUT
• The Tulane men's basketball team trailed by as many as 20 points in the second half, but the Green Wave outscored Nicholls, 48-24, in the final 20 minutes to close out a 76-69 victory over Nicholls on Monday evening.
• Tulane's last victory in a game in which it trailed by 20 or more points came on Nov. 29, 2015 in a 60-59 victory over Stephen F. Austin by overcoming a 26-point deficit in that contest..
• Jordan Cornish scored 13 of his team-high 18 points in the second half to lead four Green Wave scorers in double-figures, as Cameron Reynolds added 16 points, nine rebounds and three assists, while Melvin Frazier and Ray Ona Embo contributed 12 points apiece.
• Tulane shot an incredible 18-for-27 (.667) from the field in the second half, including 5-for-8 (.625) from 3-point range to outscore Nicholls, 48-24, in the period. The Green Wave also did not make a single substitution in the second half.
• Tulane forced 17-straight missed shots by the Colonels and went on a 20-0 scoring run over a span of 6:32 to take a 65:59 lead with 4:17 left in the game.
• The Colonels were led by Tevon Saddler's game-high 24 points and nine rebounds, while Jahvaughn Powell nabbed eight steals - the most in a game by an opposing player since Jan. 24, 1994 when Louisville's Jason Osborne had seven.
SCOUTING THE JAGUARS
• Picked to finish ninth out of 12 teams in the Sun Belt Conference's preseason poll, South Alabama returns seven letterwinners and two starters from last year's club that finished 14-18 overall.
• The Jaguars are coming off a 63-52 home victory over against Eastern Illinois on Dec. 16, but are 0-4 in true road contests this season.
• Leading scorer and guard Rodrick Sikes is averaging 15.0 points per game this season and has reached double-figures in each of the last 10 contests. Forward Josh Ajayi averages 12.0 points per game and has tallied double digits in six straight matchups. He also has two double-doubles on the year.
REYNOLDS SURPASSES 1,000 POINTS
• Redshirt senior Cameron Reynolds scored his 1,000th career point in the 81-65 win over Alcorn State on Nov. 29 to become the 36th player in program history to reach the milestone.
• While his seventh point of the night gave him 1,000, Reynolds poured in a season-high 28 points in the effort and moved from No. 37 to No. 34 on the school's all-time scoring list in that game alone.
