NEW ORLEANS – The Tulane men's basketball team will play its fourth game against a ranked opponent this season and closes its regular-season conference series against No. 19 SMU in Dallas on Wednesday, Feb. 14. Tip-off is scheduled for 8 p.m. in Moody Coliseum.

• Redshirt junior Cameron Reynolds ranks fifth in The American in scoring (15.9) and eighth in three-point field goals made (52).
• Sophomore Melvin Frazier is third in the league in steals per game (1.7), senior Malik Morgan is seventh in assists per game (4.0) and senior Ryan Smith is fifth in field goal percentage (.500).

THE OPPONENT
• SMU (22-4, 12-1 AAC) enters Wednesday's contest riding an eight-game winning streak and has victories in 18 of its last 19 outings.
• The Mustangs are coming off a 60-51 home win over then-11th-ranked Cincinnati on Sunday to move into a tie atop the American Athletic Conference standings.
• SMU ranks first in The American in scoring defense (58.2), rebounding margin (+10.9) and offensive rebounds per game (12.8), while standing second in scoring margin (+14.7), three-point field goal percentage (.397), assists (16.6) and assist/turnover ratio (1.5).
• The Ponies have four players averaging north of 11 points per game and are led by reigning American Conference Player-of-the-Week Semi Ojeleye who is third in the league in scoring (18.2) this season. Forward Ben Moore stands second among all players in field goal percentage (.560), while Ojeleye (.423), Sterling Brown (.421) and Shake Milton (.420) rank third, fourth and fifth, respectively, in three-point field goal percentage.

THE SERIES
• Wednesday's matchup marks the 33rd all-time meeting between the Green Wave and Mustangs. SMU leads the series, 19-13, and has won six of the last seven meetings including four-straight.
• Tulane's last win over SMU came on Feb. 16, 2013 in a 78-67 decision in New Orleans when both programs were members of Conference USA.
• Tulane trailed by just two points at halftime, but SMU clamped down in the final 20 minutes of an 80-64 victory in New Orleans on Jan. 15.
• Kain Harris led the Green Wave with 16 points off the bench, as Cameron Reynolds added 13 points and eight rebounds. Malik Morgan also reached double-digits with 11 points and Ryan Smith led all players with a career-high 12 rebounds. Semi Ojeleye led four SMU scorers in double-figures with a game-high 21 points.

LAST TIME OUT
• Five Green Wave players scored in double-figures, led by Cameron Reynolds' team-high 13 points and six rebounds, but Tulane suffered a 91-62 home loss to Houston on Feb. 8. Ray Ona Embo and Melvin Frazier added 12 points apiece, while Malik Morgan and Kain Harris chipped in 10 points each.
• Damyean Dotson led the Cougars with a game-high 32 points on 12-for-16 shooting, while Rob Gray scored 18 points. Armoni Brooks contributed 10 points and seven rebounds off the bench, as Houston shot 34-for-65 (.523) overall and 13-for-24 (.542) from three-point range on the night.
• Tulane was outscored, 36-16, in the paint, 27-9 off turnovers, 13-9 on second-chance baskets and 27-11 off the bench.
