NEW ORLEANS – The Tulane men's basketball team will take on Houston for the second time in 15 days when the Cougars visit New Orleans for an American Athletic Conference tilt on Wednesday, Feb. 8 at Avron B. Fogelman Arena in the Devlin Fieldhouse.

TULANE QUICK NOTES
• Redshirt junior Cameron Reynolds ranks sixth in The American in scoring (16.0) and three-point field goals made (50), seventh in minutes (34.7) and 10th in free throw percentage (.775).
• Sophomore Melvin Frazier is third in the league in steals per game (1.6), senior Malik Morgan is seventh in assists per game (4.1) and senior Ryan Smith is eighth in field goal percentage (.500).
THE OPPONENT
• Houston (16-7, 7-4 AAC) enters Wednesday's matchup riding a three-game winning streak and has had seven days of rest since its last contest, an 82-64 home victory over UCF on Feb. 1.
• The Cougars have not played a road tilt since a Jan. 21 setback at SMU and own a 3-4 record in away games this season.
• Houston ranks first in the conference in turnover margin (+3.7), second in three-point field goal percentage (.398), third in scoring offense (74.8), scoring margin (+11.1), field goal percentage (.459) and free throw percentage (.721).
• Guard Rob Gray leads all players in The American in scoring (20.3) while Damyean Dotson is tops in three-point field goal percentage (.466) and second in three-pointers made (76). Galen Robinson stands second in the league in assists per game with 4.6.
THE SERIES
• Wednesday's matchup marks the 38th all-time meeting between the programs, as Houston leads the series, 20-17, and has won five of the last six bouts.
• In the first meeting of the year in Houston on Jan. 24, Malik Morgan led the Green Wave with 13 points, while Cameron Reynolds tallied his third double-double of the season with 11 points and a game-high 10 rebounds, but Tulane had a season-low scoring output in a 65-51 road defeat at Hofheinz Pavilion.
• Damyean Dotson led Houston with 20 points and nine rebounds, while Rob Gray added 12 points and Armoni Brooks chipped in 11 more. The Cougars owned a 16-8 scoring edge off turnovers and 15-10 off the bench while holding a 44-37 margin on the glass.
LAST TIME OUT
• Tulane placed four scorers in double-figures and trailed by as few as three points with five minutes remaining, but suffered a 74-65 road defeat at East Carolina on Saturday, Feb. 4.
• Cameron Reynolds scored a team-high 16 points, recording his 10th-straight double-digit scoring performance, while Ray Ona Embo added 15 points and a personal-best four steals. Melvin Frazier chipped in 13 points and six boards, as Ryan Smith reached double-figures for the fifth-straight contest with 10 points. Malik Morgan handed out a career-high 12 assists, tying for the third most in a single game in program history.
• Caleb White led East Carolina (11-13, 3-8 AAC) with a game-high 20 points, as Jeremy Sheppard added 18 points. Kentrell Barkley posted a double-double comprising 14 points and 12 rebounds to go with six assists.
