Women's Golf Caps Regular Season at Clemson Invitational

SUNSET, S.C. – The Tulane women's golf team wrapped up the regular season at the Clemson Invitational placing 17th at +59 (923).
Tulane's team scores improved each day as the Green Wave battled another top field that featured three top 10 teams. As a team, the Green Wave holed 154 pars and 25 birdies.
Individually, sophomore Laura Munoz and freshman Gabrielle Correia finished tied for 48th at +9 (225). Munoz shot an even par 72 in the second round to highlight her weekend, while Correia, competing as an individual, shot one over par in Sunday's final round. Freshman Haydyn Gibson closed strong with an even par 72 on Sunday, improving on her score each day on the Reserve at Lake Keowee course.
"We have to build on the positive takeaways from this tournament to get ready for the conference championship in a couple of weeks," said head coach Lorne Don.
Next up, Tulane heads to the 2017 American Athletic Conference Championship April 16-18 at the Hammock Beach at Golf Resort in Palm Coast, Fla.
