Jun 1, 2017 | Women's Swimming and Diving
NEW ORLEANS - Kaitlin Nicol has joined the Tulane's women's swimming & diving program and will begin competing for the Green Wave during the 2017-18 season, according to an announcement by head coach Katie Robinson.
Nicol is the fourth signee in Tulane's 2017 class, joining Ellie Vincent, Jeni Griffin and Inger-Ane Schefte.
"We are beyond thrilled to add Kaitlin to our swimming & diving team," Robinson said. "I have every reason to believe she'll be an all-conference performer all four years and qualify for postseason NCAA Zones. Kaitlin is a very intelligent young woman that has a bright future ahead and we can't wait to welcome her to our family this fall."
Nicol competed for the LA Dive Club under head coach Tom Davidson. She claimed first place on tower and third place on the three-meter board at the Greg Louganis Invitational and scored a 265.5 on platform for fifth place at the LADC Dual Meet. At the 2016 Chrink Vank Invitational, she recorded a score of 263.85 in the one-meter event.
Nicol attended Pacifica Christian High School in Santa Monica, Calif., where she was a member of the National Honors Society, the National Society of High School Scholars and the Delians Honors Society. She also has 10 years of gymnastics experience.
