Q1: How have you enjoyed your summer? What have you done to keep your beach volleyball skills sharp?
I have been enjoying my summer so much! I am grateful for the opportunity to take a step back from competition and really focus on fine-tuning some skills and work hard to become faster, stronger and more flexible this summer.Â
Q2: What is one of the more interesting things you did this summer? Did you go on a fun trip or read a good book?
I have loved spending some time at home with my family and friends that I don't get to see as often. I'm currently having a wonderful time interning for Target in their management program. When I'm not working, I've been able to take trips to Georgia, California, Colorado, and Washington to camp or visit friends! My favorite trip so far was taking high school girls to Young Life Camp in Georgia for a whole week! We had so much fun swimming in the lake, zip-lining, and hiking. Â
Q3: In your bio, you talk about one day working for Nike internationally. Why does this opportunity in particular interest you so much? And where would you like travel?
Working in an international division of a company appeals to me because I love meeting new people! I have a passion for getting to know people from all walks of life, hearing their stories, and learning about their language and culture. I would love to meet as many different people and see as many different places as possible. I would particularly like to travel to Greece, Peru, Thailand, Morocco and Iceland.Â
Q4: How would you describe your time at Tulane so far, in terms of enjoying life on campus and getting to know New Orleans?
My three years at Tulane have been three of the best years! My time here has been extremely challenging in many ways, but I have grown and learned so much from the friends I've made. Tulane is wonderful, but it's the people I've met that have made it truly special. I also really love all of the incredible food New Orleans has to offer. I feel so lucky to attend one of the top universities in the country while exploring one of the coolest cities in the world!Â
Q5: What has you excited about coming back for campus this fall and preparing to compete during the 2017 season?
We have eight new freshmen joining our team this fall and I am so excited to get to know each of them better and start to build a strong team in the fall. We have so much talent and I am so excited to see what we can do during the 2018 season!Â
