The Green Wave women will begin the Pre-National Invitational – Tulane's final regular-season meet this year – with a 6K race at 10 a.m. at the Thomas Zimmer Championship Cross Country Course. Tulane will be running in the Cardinal Race against fierce competition including No. 1 Colorado, No. 4 Oregon, No. 7 Arkansas, No. 9 BYU, No. 11 Indiana, No. 13 North Carolina State, No. 18 Ole Miss, No. 21 Minnesota, No. 23 Portland and No. 25 Florida State.
When the women's race is complete, Tulane's men will run in the 8K White Race at 12:15 p.m. Battling with the Green Wave will be No. 2 BYU, No. 4 Portland, No. 8 Syracuse, No. 9 Purdue, No. 10 Air Force, No. 12 Washington, No. 17 Washington State, No. 21 Indiana and No. 25 UCLA, among others.
The meet will be streamed live on FloTrack for a cost and can be found at this link. Live results will also be available online here.
The Green Wave runners have already had tremendous success this season and will look to use the Pre-National meet as a springboard to the American Athletic Conference Championship in two weeks at Audubon Park.
Tulane's men have posted three winners so far this year with Carlos Zervigon winning the opener at Nicholls, Evans Kipchumba claiming the crown at the LSU Invitational and Emmanuel Rotich taking the title at the Texas A&M Invitational three weeks ago in his first race of the season.
On the women's side, Mckenzie Melius won the Nicholls Invitational to start the year and helped the team to a first-place finish in that meet. The women have since taken fourth place at the LSU Imitational and 11th at the Texas A&M Invitational.
