CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – The Tulane University women's golf team finished day one of competition in the Ruth's Chris Tar Heel Invite at UNC.
The three-day event is being held at the par 72, 6,379-yard UNC Finley Golf Course.
The Green Wave head into day two in a 13th-place tie with Charlotte after totaling a score of 301, leading Michigan, Clemson, UNC Wilmington and Rollins College.
Junior Haydyn Gibson leads the team, scoring an even-par at 72 to finish in a tie for 19th. Senior Laura Munoz follows right behind her, earning two-over-par at 74 for a 32nd-place tie.
Gabrielle Correia, Isabella Cardenas and Jennifer Rosenberg round out the lineup for the Green Wave, checking in at 52nd, 85th and 95th.
Duke leads 18 teams with an opening round score of 271, 17 under-par. Jaravee Boonchant leads all individuals with a score of 66, checking in at six under-par.
