NEW ORLEANS – The Tulane University women's golf team returns to the course for the second straight week and will compete in the 2018 Betsy Rawls Invitational. The Green Wave will begin competition at 8 a.m. on Friday and will wrap up play on Sunday afternoon.

The three-day event will be held at the par 72, 6,491-yard University of Texas Golf Club in Austin, Texas. A tape-delayed package of the tournament will air on Longhorn Network on Nov. 9 from 7-9 p.m.

The Green Wave will face off against some of the nation's top programs, including No. 2 Alabama, No. 24 Baylor, Colorado, No. 5 Florida, No. 14 Kent State, New Mexico, North Texas, SMU, No. 8 Texas, Texas A&M, Texas State and Texas Tech.

"We are very excited to get back out on the course and compete against another great field," head coach Lorne Don said. "Last week we saw a lot of positives from everyone and I think our team is starting to understand that they can compete with anyone when they are at their best."

Tulane enters this weekend's tournament after it took part in the Ruth's Chris Tar Heel Invitational in Chapel Hill, N.C. on Oct. 12-14.

The lineup for the Green Wave this week includes senior Laura Munoz at No. 1, junior Haydyn Gibson at No. 2, junior Gabrielle Correia at No. 3, sophomore Jennifer Rosenberg at No. 4, senior Sofia Goicoechea at No. 5.

Munoz enters this week's tournament with the team's best scoring average (73.0). She also is tied for the team lead with two rounds under par.
