Tulane Women’s Golf Concludes Play at the Betsy Rawls Longhorn Invitational

AUSTIN, Texas – The Tulane University women's golf team wrapped up play Sunday at the 2018 Betsy Rawls Longhorn Invitational and finished 11th with a three-round total of 927.

The three-day event was being held at the par 72, 6,491-yard University of Texas Golf Club and features five teams in the Golfweek Top 25 Poll.

The Green Wave closed the day with a third round score of 305. Tulane's final round total was the team's lowest score of the tournament. Tulane finished the event with 142 pars and 30 birdies as a team.

Senior Laura Munoz finished on a high note, as she carded a final round of one under par, 71. Munoz's day three score allowed her to move up the leaderboard 14 spots. She finished the tournament tied for 39th with a three-round total of 229.

Junior Haydyn Gibson was the next Tulane finisher on the leaderboard as she tied for 45th with a three-round score of 231.

Sophomore Jennifer Rosenberg, junior Gabrielle Correia and senior Sofia Goicoechea rounded out the Green Wave lineup as they finished the tournament 52nd (233), 64th (240) and tied for 65th, respectively.

Texas won the tournament with a three-round score of 854. Texas also has had the top individual in the field, as Hailee Cooper won the tournament with a three-round score of 207.

Tulane returns to action on Nov. 2, as it heads to the Battle at the Beach in San Jose Del Cabo, Mexico. Baylor University will play host to the three-day event.
