
Volleyball's Makala Heidelberg Earns AAC Weekly Honors

NEW ORLEANS – Tulane volleyball's freshman outside hitter Makala Heidelberg earned a spot on the American Athletic Conference weekly honor roll for the second time this season, the conference announced on Monday.
Heidelberg recorded her 10th and 11th double-doubles of the season this weekend, earning 11 kills while hitting .500 and notching 13 digs and three blocks in Tulane's four-set victory over Temple on Friday. The freshman tallied ten kills while hitting .333 in Sunday's win over UConn, adding 19 digs, four blocks and two service aces in the match.
Heidelberg averaged 2.33 kills, 3.56 digs and 0.78 blocks per set in the Green Wave's 2-0 weekend at home to send the team on an 11-match winning streak.
Tulane is set to hit the road for the final time this regular season, matching up against Cincinnati on Friday at 11 a.m. and ECU on Sunday at 1 p.m.
