Women’s Tennis Set for Fall Finale at Florida State Invitational

NEW ORLEANS - The Tulane women's tennis team will compete in its final tournament of the 2018 fall season on a trip to Tallahassee, Fla., for the Florida State Invitational. The first of three consecutive days of competition is set for Friday, November 9 at the Scott Speicher Memorial Tennis Center.

The tournament features 10 singles draws with eight players in each, as well as multiple doubles brackets. Student-athletes representing 15 schools, including Oregon, Tulane, Wisconsin, Furman, Troy, UCF, Middle Tennessee, West Virginia, East Tennessee State, Florida, McNeese State, North Florida, Clemson, Southern Miss and Florida State will compete throughout the weekend.

Last weekend, at the Kentucky Invitational, Tulane earned doubles wins in two of three matches against Virginia Tech on Saturday, before taking four of six singles matches from the Hokies on Sunday. The tournament covered three days with competition including Tulane, Virginia Tech and host Kentucky, while matchups were structured in a hidden dual match format.
