Women's Tennis Wraps Play at FSU Invitational

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - Sophomore Daniela La Fuente earned a three-set victory in the third place match of her singles draw, highlighting the Tulane women's tennis team's final day of the Florida State Invitational on Sunday.
Playing in the consolation third place match of her singles draw, La Fuente earned a 6-4 victory in the first set against Troy's Matea Mihaljevic. La Fuente dropped the second set by the same count, but regained her composure for a 10-8 win in the third set to finish her weekend on a high note.
The Wave played three additional singles matches, but were unable to come up with another victory.
Tulane closes its fall season, but returns in the spring for the start of dual match play at home against Northwestern State on Saturday, January 19 at the City Park Tennis Center.
