STANFORD, Calif. – Junior Emmanuel Rotich won the 3000m steeplechase and sophomore Raymond Kibet finished first in the 400m race at the Payton Jordan Invitational on Thursday night, as Tulane track and field closed the outdoor regular season on a high note and will roll into next weekend's American Athletic Conference Outdoor Championships with momentum.
QUOTE
"I'm very encouraged by Raymond's last two races. He's come away victorious in both, and that's significant for him and his confidence heading into the conference championship. For Emmanuel, he's ready to run fast and competing well. He won against a very competitive field tonight. It's time for the postseason, and I feel that both of these athletes are well-positioned to attack the conference championship and the NCAA Regional. Getting back to Nationals is a realistic goal."
-Director of Track & Field and Cross Country Eric Peterson
