
Track and Field Announces 2019-20 Indoor and Outdoor Schedules

NEW ORLEANS – The Tulane track and field team has officially set its indoor and outdoor schedules for the 2019-20 season, Director of Cross Country and Track and Field Eric Peterson announced Monday.
The Green Wave will compete in seven regular season meets during the indoor season, beginning with the BSC Panther Ice Breaker in Birmingham, Alabama on Dec. 6.
The team will have just over a month off before its next meet, heading up to Baton Rouge for the LSU Purple Tiger on Jan. 10, before traveling back to the Birmingham CrossPlex on Jan. 17 for the Samford Invitational.
Next up for the Olive and Blue is the Houston P5 and Mid-Major Invitational from Jan. 31-1, followed by the Frank Sevigne Husker Invitational at Nebraska from Feb. 7-8 and the Texas Tech Shootout in Lubbock, Texas from Feb. 14-15.
Tulane wraps up its indoor regular season at Carl Maddox Fieldhouse for the second time in 2020, competing in the LSU Twilight on Feb. 21.
By the time the American Athletic Conference Championship rolls around on Feb. 28-29, the Green Wave will have become familiar with the track after racing twice at the CrossPlex in Birmingham earlier in the season.
Postseason action continues on with the NCAA Indoor Championships, held on March 13-14 at Albuquerque Convention Center in New Mexico.
The team's outdoor season begins that same weekend, as the Green Wave head back to Birmingham, Alabama for the Southern Invitational at Krulak Stadium on Friday and Saturday.
The start of Tulane's outdoor season also includes trips to Mobile, Alabama for the South Alabama Invitational on March 20, Houston, Texas for the Victor Lopez Invitational from March 26-28 and Tempe, Arizona for the Sun Angel Classic at Arizona State on April 3-4.
The Olive and Blue will travel to Tuscaloosa, Alabama the following weekend for the Alabama Invitational at Sam Bailey Track and Field Stadium on April 10-11, before heading to the West Coast for the Mt. SAC Invitational in Walnut, California from April 16-18.
The Green Wave make the short trip to Bernie Moore Stadium for the LSU Alumni Gold on April 25 before closing their outdoor regular season in the Billy Hays Invitational at Indiana on May 1.
The AAC championship will be held at the USF Track and Field Stadium from May 15-17, with the NCAA East Region Track and Field Championship in Kentucky from May 28-30 and the NCAA National Championships at Mike A. Myers Stadium at Texas from June 10-13.
