Stockton Named Honorary Alumni

NEW ORLEANS – Tulane University women's basketball head coach Lisa Stockton was recognized by the Tulane Alumni Association as an honorary alumnus in a reception on Monday.
"I am honored to be recognized by the Tulane Alumni Association as an Honorary Alumnus," Stockton said. "The university and the Tulane community are very special to me."
Stockton is currently in her 26th season as the head coach at Tulane. Her program has produced 18 postseason berths, including 11 NCAA Tournaments, seven All-Americans, five conference tournament titles and four conference championships. Stockton has led five WNBA draft picks and been named conference coach of the year on three occasions.
During her tenure, Green Wave players have earned 40 All-Conference honors, 10 All-Freshman Team credits, three Freshman of the Year accolades and one Conference of the Year award.
Honorary alumni status is bestowed by the Tulane Alumni Association in recognition of exemplary service for 25 years or more.
The Green Wave will be back in action on Friday, Nov. 22, against Central Arkansas. Tip-off is set for 12 p.m. at Avron B. Fogelman Arena in Devlin Fieldhouse.
