Tulane Volleyball Sets 2019 Spring Schedule
Feb 13, 2019 | Women's Volleyball
NEW ORLEANS – The Tulane volleyball team has officially set its 2019 spring schedule, hosting two tournaments in New Orleans while also participating in two weekend matchups on the road.
"These four scrimmages are valuable," head coach Jim Barnes said. "They are a big part of the process of building our team for a championship run in the fall season. We are much further along this spring than any time before. The players are working extremely hard and we believe the results will show."
The Green Wave will open their spring season at home, facing Xavier in the Hertz Center on February 23 at 10 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.
The team then heads to Houston for its first road matchup of the spring season, competing as one of 12 teams in the FAST Tournament on March 30.
Tulane closes its spring slate with a four-team tournament on April 13, hosting Louisiana Tech, Southeastern Louisiana and Northwestern Louisiana at Fogelman Arena in the Devlin Fieldhouse at 10 a.m.
The Green Wave will also participate in a road tournament on March 16. The location and opponents will be announced at a later date.
On the heels of one of the most successful years in program history, defined by a 29-win season and a postseason championship appearance, the Green Wave look for continued growth over the next few months with hopes of an even better fall in 2019.
