NEW ORLEANS – The Tulane sailing team is back in action this weekend, heading to St. Mary's, Maryland for the St. Mary's Women's InterConference Regatta this Saturday and Sunday.
The Green Wave will compete against 17 competitive opponents in their weekend on the water, including – Boston College, Boston University, Charleston, Cornell, George Washington, Georgetown, Harvard, Hobart and William, Old Dominion, host St. Mary's, Tufts, Navy, Michigan, Rhode Island, South Florida, Virginia and Yale.
Tulane will send one team to compete in each of the respective A and B Division races, each sailing 18 total races in the two-day regatta, weather depending.
The women had a successful performance in their last time out on the water, going 9-2 at home in the Garner-Tullis Team Race, with their only losses coming to Tulane's coed squad.
Tulane finds familiar opponents in George Washington, Charleston, Old Dominion and Michigan after facing them in the Phebe Corkran Women's Regatta earlier this spring season, checking in ahead of the Monarchs and the Wolverines in the final standings.
