Sailing Heads to New York for Admiral Moore Team Race
Mar 22, 2019 | Sailing
NEW ORLEANS – The Tulane sailing team is back in action this weekend, heading to SUNY Maritime to compete in the Admiral Moore Team Race this Saturday and Sunday.
The Green Wave will face seven teams in the two-day, interconference regatta – host SUNY Maritime, Hobart and William Smith College, Georgetown, Roger Williams, University of Pennsylvania, Fordham and Christopher Newport.
Tulane will send three boats to compete against three boats from an opposing team in each of the seven flights, participating in 21 total races in rounds one, two and three, weather depending.
In their last time out on the water, the Olive and Blue competed in the challenging St. Mary's Women's Regatta and recorded seven top-ten finishes.
Tulane finds familiar opponents in both Georgetown and Hobart and William, with the women's team facing the two universities in last weekend's regatta.
