Gibson Posts Strong Opening Round at LSU Tiger Golf Classic

Round One Results

BATON ROUGE, La. – Junior Haydyn Gibson highlighted opening round competition for the Tulane University women's golf team on Friday, as she finished the day tied for ninth.

Gibson closed day one competition with a score of one-over-par, 73. She began the day with bogeys on three of the first four holes, but would respond in a big way, as she carded par or birdie on the next nine holes.

During the final five holes, Gibson recorded one bogey and one birdie to finish the back nine one-under-par.

As a team, Tulane finished the day in 10th-place with a score of 319.

Sophomore Jennifer Rosenberg (tied for 45th, 81), senior Laura Munoz (tied for 49th, 82), freshman Isabella Cardenas (tied for 52nd , 83) and junior Gabrielle Correia (tied for 55th, 84) rounded out the Tulane lineup.

Campbell leads all teams after it posted a score of 291. Campbell's Emily Hawkins and TCU's Sabrina Iqbal are tied for the lead after both shot rounds of 69.
