
Sailing Heads to Navy for Final Regatta Before SEISA Championships

NEW ORLEANS – The Tulane sailing team is headed to Annapolis this weekend, participating in the Navy Spring Regatta on Saturday and Sunday in the team's final competition before it comes back home to host the SEISA Conference Championship.
The Green Wave will face 16 opponents on the water in the interconference regatta – College of Charleston, Cornell, Eckerd, Fordham, George Washington, Georgetown, Hampton, Hobart & William, Old Dominion, New York Maritime, Stanford, Kings Point, Navy, Miami, South Florida and Webb Institute.
Each team will send one team to sail in the respective A and B Division races, with Fordham having two teams participate in each division to total 17 opponents.
In the team's last time out on the water, the Green Wave recorded an impressive fourth-place finish among 22 teams in the St. Francis Interconference Regatta at Stanford. Tulane finished first in two races while earning top-five finishes in nine of 18 races.
Tulane will not face any of its SEISA conference opponents this weekend, but is prepared to welcome the 19 schools to Lake Pontchartrain on April 20 and 21 for the team race and coed conference championships.
