
Sailing to Host SEISA Conference Championship

NEW ORLEANS – The Tulane sailing team brings it back home this weekend, hosting the SEISA Conference Championships on Saturday and Sunday out of the Municipal Yacht Harbor on Lake Pontchartrain.
The Green Wave will compete simultaneously in two separate regattas on the water, the SEISA Coed Championship and the SEISA Team Race Championship, beginning at 10 a.m. on day one.
The Olive and Blue will host six teams in its first-ever home conference championship, including, Texas A&M, Texas A&M Corpus Christi, Texas A&M Galveston, Colorado, North Texas and Texas.
In the team racing format, Tulane will send three boats to compete against three boats from each of the other schools. In the coed sailing format, each team will send one boat to sail against boats from all six opponents at one time.
Each school will send one boat to compete in the respective A and B Division races in the coed portion of the regatta, totaling 28 races in the weekend.
