Volleyball's 2019 Recruiting Class Earns National Ranking
May 14, 2019 | Women's Volleyball
NEW ORLEANS – The Tulane volleyball team's 2019 recruiting class earned a national ranking according to PrepVolleyball.com, with the website tabbing the signing class just outside of the nation's top 50.
"What a well-deserved honor for this class to be recognized nationally," associate head coach/recruiting coordinator Brain Yale said. "The character and talent that these four girls will add to this program is immense. Individually, they will add exactly what their position groups need in order to help this program continue to grow."
The Green Wave earned "High Honorable Mention" status alongside six schools also in the American Athletic Conference.
The four newcomers include middle blocker Oona Bruss (Berkeley, Cal.), libero Jillian Dits (Colleyville, Texas), middle blocker Lauryn Green (Dallas, Texas) and outside hitter Lizzy Stefanov (Stow, Ohio).
The Green Wave garnered the same recognition last year, with the team's 2018 class exceeding all expectations after a season of success.
"We've moved closer to our program goals of perennial AAC championships and NCAA Tournament appearances, and together this crew will be a big part of making this happen," Yale said. "They will increase the level of competition in our gym on a daily basis, and fans will surely enjoy the effect come match time!"
