
Haskin Named Second-Team Preseason All-American by D1 Baseball

NEW ORLEANS, La. – For the fourth time this preseason, Tulane sophomore outfielder Hudson Haskin has been honored as on Tuesday he was selected to the D1 Baseball Preseason All-America Second Team the publication announced.    Â

It's the third preseason All-American honor for Haskin as he was named a preseason All-American by Collegiate Baseball back in mid-December and by Perfect Game/Rawlings on January 7. On January 30 he was one of three Tulane players selected to the Preseason All-American Athletic Conference team.

Haskin began his Green Wave career last season by finishing second on the team with a .372 batting average after playing in 56 games with 50 starts. His 77 hits and 52 RBI were third on the team, finishing second on the squad in doubles with 19, triples with four, home runs with 10.

He ended the season leading The American in batting average with a .432 mark in league games and a .536 mark in on-base percentage, while closing out the year on a seven-game hitting streak, reaching base safely in 13 consecutive outings.

Tulane will open the 2020 season on February 14 at Greer Field at Turchin Stadium with a three-game series against Florida Gulf Coast. Â
