Baseball Announces Key Fall Dates

NEW ORLEANS – The Tulane baseball team recently announced the fall schedule for the team including the dates for the start of fall camp, all four of the team's exhibition games, and the annual Alumni Game.

The program officially starts fall camp during the afternoon on Tuesday, Oct. 13.

All the practices are open to the public. The program also will host live intersquad scrimmages throughout fall camp. The official dates of the scrimmages are still to be determined. Check out the social channels of the team @GreenWaveBSB for the most up to date information.

The team also plays four exhibition scrimmages throughout the months of October and November.

Tulane begins the fall scrimmage schedule with a trip to Mobile, Alabama on Saturday, Oct. 24, at Staky Field. The Jaguars were 34-23 last season including a mark of 17-13 in the Sun Belt. The game time will be announced on the team's social channels the week of the game.

The team then returns home the following day to host Lamar on Sunday, Oct. 25, on Greer Field at Turchin Stadium (GFATS) at 2 p.m. Lamar is coming off a 2026 season that saw the squad go 34-27 including a mark of 19-11 in the Southland Conference. The team won the league title and made the NCAA College Station Regional in 2026.

The program is also scheduled to host LSU New Orleans (LSU-NO) at GFATS this season on Friday, Nov. 20. The game time will be announced on the team's social channels the week of the game. The Privateers went 24-30 and 13-17 in the Southland Conference in 2026.

Tulane makes the return trip to LSU-NO at Masteri Field on Saturday, Nov. 21. The game time will be announced on the team's social channels the week of the game.

Tulane brings back 13 players this season in Luis Pablo Navarro (P), AJ Groeneveld (INF/OF), Nolan Nawrocki (INF), Evan Burg (OF), Caden Tarango (P), Julius Ejike-Charles (P/OF), Bryson Ayala (INF), Nate Johnson (INF), Jack Brafa (P), Beau Sampson (P), Michael Devenney (P), Johnny Elliott (C), and Owen Geiss (P) The program also welcomes in 21 newcomers in Jacob Croxford (OF), Sebastian Rhoades (INF), Robbie Demetree (INF), Owen Morgan (INF), Carson Orvis (P), Laird Williams (P), Tomas Bilvado (P), Hunter Shaw (P), Brady Fitzpatrick (OF), Aidan Grab (P), Kieran Kostanoski (P), Braden Place (P), Sam Weinstein (C), Sage Adams (C), Evan Kleinhans (P), Cole Greer (P), Josh Midbo (P), Conner Connell (P), Beckett Suh (INF), Noah Bolinger (P), and Ryan Darrah (OF).

In 2026, the Green Wave went 25-31 with a mark of 10-17 in league play. The team had an American All-Conference selection, were honored weekly by the league office nine times and had five College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District selections in pitcher Trey Cehajic, Larson, first baseman Trent Liolios, pitcher Jake Toporek, and pitcher Blaise Wilcenski. Tulane finished off the campaign seeing Sam Larson drafted by the Colorado Rockies in 16th round (464th overall pick) the 2026 MLB Draft. Overall, he is the 139th player that Tulane has had drafted in the program's long and storied history. The program has now seen eight players selected over the last three seasons and has had at least one player selected in the MLB Draft in each of the last 15 years. The program has also had at least one pitcher selected in six straight drafts. Larson was the third Tulane player ever selected by the Colorado Rockies following right-handed pitcher Tyler Hoffman (17th round - 2022) and infielder Michael Johns (19th round - 1997).
