Women's Tennis Travels to LSU Friday

NEW ORLEANS – Coming off a six-day break between matches, the Tulane women's tennis team heads to Baton Rouge for a road match at LSU on Friday, January 31. First serve is set for 4 p.m. at the LSU Tennis Complex.

LAST TIME OUT
Tulane swept its second home doubleheader of the spring with a pair of 4-0 wins over Southern and Southeastern Louisiana last Saturday. Sophomore Adelaide Lavery recorded a 2-0 mark in singles, as well as a 2-0 mark at No. 2 doubles teaming with freshman Lahari Yelamanchili.
LAVERY'SÂ DUAL SINGLES STREAK
Sophomore Adelaide Lavery is off to a 3-0 start in singles this spring, improving her dual match winning streak to nine straight dating back to the 2019 spring season.
THE UNBEATENSÂ
Tulane is a combined 13-0 in dual singles matches through its first four contests this season, as Lavery, Yelamanchili and junior Lauren Gish each own 3-0 singles records. Playing No. 1 doubles, Gish and freshman Mackenzie Clark own a team-best 4-0 record this spring.

SCOUTING LSU
The Tigers (3-1) enter Friday's match with a 2-0 record at home, including a doubleheader sweep of Northwestern State and Southern on Jan. 18, but most recently dropped a 4-0 decision to No. 7 Texas in the regional final of ITA Kickoff Weekend in Austin, Texas last weekend. LSU possesses three ranked singles players, including No. 42 Taylor Bridges, No. 61 Safiya Carrington and No. 105 Paris Corley.
