ON THE CLOCK: Tulane Football and the NFL Draft

NEW ORLEANS – Tulane University will look to add to its professional football history April 23-25 with the start of the 2020 National Football League Draft.
The NFL Draft begins Thursday at 7 p.m. CT with Round 1 coverage. Day two coverage will feature Rounds 2-3, beginning at 6 p.m. CT on Friday. Final day coverage will begin at 11 a.m. CT on Saturday and will feature Rounds 4-7.
ESPN and NFL Network will combine to offer a singular presentation across both networks, while ABC will present its own distinctive, prime-time telecasts for rounds 1-3, in addition to simulcasting the ESPN and NFL Network telecast of rounds 4-7.
Since 1937, former Green Wave football players have consistently been selected in the NFL Draft. The numbers below highlight Tulane football's history in the NFL Draft.
Tulane and The NFL Draft: By the Numbers
142 – Tulane has had 142 players selected in the NFL Draft all-time.
100 – Former Tulane Tackle Eric Laakso was the 100th former Green Wave player to be selected in the NFL Draft.
25 – For a program-record 25 straight seasons from 1937-1963, Tulane had at least one player selected in the NFL Draft.
21 – The program's second-longest consecutive streak of having at least one player selected in the NFL Draft occurred from 1971-1991 – a mark of 21 straight seasons.
