SENIOR DAY: Tulane Honors Track and Field's Corey Dauphine
May 12, 2020 | Track & Field
EDITOR'S NOTE: Over the next few months, TulaneGreenWave.com will honor the 35 seniors that had their respective collegiate careers cut short due to the COVID-19 pandemic through this SENIOR DAY series. We hope you the fans enjoy this series and remember the seniors from the 2020 graduating class.
Corey Dauphine made his way to New Orleans as a redshirt freshman in 2017, quickly making an impact on both the track and field and football teams. The Port Arthur, Texas native was part of the 4x100 relay team that finished third at the American Athletic Conference Championship in 2018 (after finishing third at the same meet the in 2017) and broke the school record with a time of 40.26. Dauphine also finished ninth in the 100m (10.55) and 14th in the 200m (21.53) at the AAC Championship. In three outdoor track and field seasons, Dauphine was part of three 4x100 relay teams that won gold, at the Tom Tellez Invitational in 2019, the Brutus Hamilton Invitational in 2018 and the Tulane Early Bird Invitational in 2018. Dauphine’s career-best time of 10.55 in the 100m puts him at sixth overall in the Tulane record books, while his time of 21.23 in the 200m puts him at fifth in program history.
Today, we honor Dauphine in our SENIOR DAY web series.
