NEW ORLEANS - The Cross Country team will travel to the 2021 American Athletic Conference Cross Country Championships that are set to take place on Oct. 29 at Holloway Park in Lakeland, Florida.
Participants will include individuals from all 11 AAC teams; Cincinnati, East Carolina, Houston, Memphis, SMU, South Florida, Temple, Tulane, Tulsa UCF and Wichita State.
The men's championship 8K is scheduled for 7 a.m., with the women's championship 6K to follow at 7:50 a.m. Live coverage of the meet will commence on ESPN+ at 6:50 a.m. (CT), with Dennis McNulty on the call of both races and The American's Morgan Uber with interviews at Holloway Park.
The award ceremony will follow both races at approximately 8:40 a.m.
"This weekend will serve as the benchmark moving forward that we as a program will raise and exceed with every passing season," director of cross country/track and field Adrian Myers said. "This fall has been a process of learning and growing with a new team. We've made tremendous progress in culture and have much room to grow yet. But this is the start to a very special future for our program. I'm excited to watch Our crew cover ground from A to B to the best of their ability and come home with something we feel deserving of. This sport gives you only what you deserve."
After Saturday, Tulane will have its next meet on November 12th in Waco, Texas, at the NCAA South Central Regional Championships Invitational.
Additionally, fans can follow Tulane Athletics on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.
