NEW ORLEANS -Â The Tulane University men's basketball team returns to action on Wednesday, as it heads to Florida State. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. CT inside FSU's Donald L. Tucker Center.

The Green Wave's matchup with the Seminoles will be aired live on ACC Network Plus. Fans can watch the game live by CLICKING HERE. 1. The Tulane University men's basketball team makes its first trip to Florida State since the 1994-95 campaign to take on the nationally-ranked Seminoles. FSU earned a No. 19 ranking in the Preseason Coaches' Poll.
2. The Green Wave will look to bounce back from their 73-70 loss at home to Southern this past Saturday. Tulane has not defeated a nationally-ranked opponent since its win over NC State back on Dec. 22, 1999. The Green Wave also will be in search of their first win over an ACC opponent since they defeated Georgia Tech 57-52 back on Dec. 3, 2011.
3. Head coach Ron Hunter is in his third season in Uptown (28th season overall) where he will look to build on the team's 2020 Quarterfinal appearance in the American Athletic Conference Championship.
4. This season, Hunter's staff welcomes back six letterwinners, six newcomers and three starters, including preseason All-American Athletic Conference honoree Jaylen Forbes. Forbes, who became Tulane's first all-conference selection since Melvin Frazier Jr. in 2018, averaged 16.4 points per game a year ago – a figure that ranked fourth in the American Athletic Conference last season.
5. The Green Wave have won the turnover battle in each of the past two games, including in their last matchup against Southern. During the 2021-22 campaign, Tulane won the turnover battle in 19 of its 23 contests last season while also forcing opponents into at least 15 mishaps on 11 occasions. During the 2019-20 campaign, the Green Wave committed equal or fewer turnovers than its opponents in 28 of 30 contests while ranking in the top 15 nationally in turnover margin (+4.3).

• Tulane's matchup with Florida State will mark the 38th all-time meeting between the two teams. The Green Wave trail in the all-time series by a 12-25 count. Tulane also has dropped each of the last two matchups with the Seminoles.
• The Green Wave's last win over Florida State came back on Dec. 5, 1995.

• Florida State enters the 2021-22 campaign under the direction of 20th-year head coach Leonard Hamilton.
• The Seminoles own a 74-20 mark since the start of the 2018-19 campaign. FSU have been a model of consistency dating back to the 2018-19 campaign, winning 29 (2018-19), 26 (2019-20) and 18 (2020-21) games, respectively.Â
• FSU was picked to finish second in the ACC Preseason Poll. The Seminoles have now been picked fourth or higher in the ACC Basketball preseason standings in each of the last three seasons.
• Redshirt senior Malik Osborne leads the team in points (18.0) and rebounds (9.5) per game.
• FSU enters the game after it suffered a 71-55 loss at Florida this past Sunday.

• Freshman Jalen Cook was named to the American Athletic Conference Honor Roll on Nov. 15.
• Cook averaged 23.5 points per game in a 1-1 week for the Green Wave. He also dished out 5.5 assists and pulled down 3.5 rebounds per game.

• Tulane had three newcomers make their respective debuts on Nov. 9 against Southeastern, as guards DeVon Baker, Scott Spencer and Jalen Cook all made appearances against their in-state foes.
• The three new players combined for 40 points and helped propel the Green Wave to the win over Southeastern.
• Cook led the way with 28 points. His 28 points are tied for the American Athletic Conference's second highest scoring output in a single game this season.
