
Golf Travels to Lake Oconee Invitational this Weekend

NEW ORLEANS – The Tulane University women's golf team will continue the 2021 spring season on Friday, Feb. 19, at the Lake Oconee Invitational in Greensboro, Ga. Mercer will host the tournament at the Reynolds Lake Oconee Great Waters course.

The tournament will tee-off at 8 a.m. CT from the first and tenth tees on all three days. The three-day event will be played at the par 72, 6,031-yard Great Waters course in Greensboro, Ga. The field will feature No. 35 North Florida, Chattanooga, East Tennessee State, Mercer, Wisconsin, South Dakota State, Southern Miss, UNCW, Rutgers, Middle Tennessee, Old Dominion, James Madison, Kennesaw State and NJCAA Daytona State.

The Green Wave are coming off a ninth-place finish at the Lamkin Invitational to start the season.
Â
Sophomore Carlota Palacios led the Olive and Blue with an 18th-place finish last week. She registered her best round with an even-par 72 in the second round at the Lamkin Invitational. She currently holds a 76.33 stroke average this season.

Senior Jennifer Rosenberg placed 25th in the team's first tournament of the season. She brings a 77.00 stroke average into the tournament.

The Green Wave's lineup will feature Rosenberg, Palacios, junior Isabella Cardenas, sophomore Sandra Vazquez and freshman Miriam Emmert. Cardenas and Vazquez will be making their season debuts, while Emmert finished 47th in her first collegiate tournament.
