
Tulane Finishes First Two Rounds at the Lamkin Invitational

RANCHO SANTA FE, CALIF. – The Tulane University golf team completed the first two rounds of the Lamkin Invitational today at the Farms Golf Club.

Tulane finished the day with a team score of 55-over 631. The Green Wave will head to the final round tied for eighth. The second round was suspended due to darkness before every team could finish play. Tulane was one of six teams to finish both rounds on the day. Â
"Carlota did a nice job today managing her game on an extremely challenging course," Tulane head coach Stew Burke said. "The team is obviously disappointed with our position in the field and we'll come out ready tomorrow."

Sophomore Carlota Palacios led the Green Wave with a two-over 146 on the day. She opened the tournament with a two-over 74. She logged an even-par 36 on the back nine with two birdies on the front nine. She followed that performance with an even-par 72 in the second round. Palacios registered four birdies in the second round. She currently sits tied for seventh headed into Tuesday's final round.

Senior Jennifer Rosenberg finished the day tied for 26th at 11-over 154. She hit a five-over 77 in the first round logging back-to-back birdies on the third and fourth holes. Rosenberg registered three birdies in the second round, as she shot five-over 77.

Freshman Miriam Emmert will head to the final round tied for 45th at 20-over 164. Emmert recorded three birdies in the first two rounds of her collegiate career.

Freshman Daozeng "Cleo" Liu opened the tournament with a two-round total of 25-over 169. She had one birdie on the day and currently sits tied for 54th.

Junior Hannah Rose Bruxvoort rounded out the Green Wave's lineup with a total score of 25-over 169 in the first two rounds of the Lamkin Invitational. She registered one birdie on the day and will head to the final round tied for 54th individually.

Southern California leads all teams at nine-over 585, while UCLA sits second at 15-over 591. USC's Allisen Corpuz, San Diego State's Sara Kjellker and UCLA's Emma Spitz all lead the field at four under 140.
