
Golf Places Ninth at Lamkin Invitational

RANCHO SANTA FE, CALIF. – The Tulane University women's golf placed ninth at the Lamkin Invitational on The Farms Golf Club today. The Olive and Blue finished with a total score of 93-over 957.

Sophomore Carlota Palacios led the Green Wave with a total score of 13-over 229 to place tied for 18th. She recorded a team-best even-par 72 in the second round on Tuesday. She also registered a 2-over 74 in the first round and an 11-over 83 in the final round. Palacios had six birdies in the opening tournament of the season.

Senior Jennifer Rosenberg was the most consistent player in Tulane's lineup as she shot 5-over 77 in all three rounds. She logged one birdie in the final round to finish with six for the tournament. Rosenberg placed tied for 25th with a total score of 15-over 231.

Freshman Miriam Emmert tied for 47th with a total score of 32-over 248. She recorded her best round of the tournament with an 8-over 80 in the second round. Emmert recorded three birdies over the three rounds.

Freshmen Hannah Rose Bruxvoort and Daozeng "Cleo" Liu both placed tied for 50th at 36-over 252. Liu logged two birdies over the two days, while Bruxvoort registered one in the three rounds.

Southern California won the tournament at 16-over 880, while TCU and UCLA placed second with a 40-over 904. USC's Allisen Corpuz took the individual crown with a total score of 2-under 214.

The Green Wave will be back in action Friday-Sunday, Feb. 19-21, at the Lake Oconee Invitational in Greensboro, Ga.
