
Women’s Golf Opens 2021 Season at Lamkin Invitational Monday

NEW ORLEANS – The Tulane University women's golf team will open the 2021 season on Monday, Feb. 8, at the Lamkin Invitational in Rancho Santa Fe, Calif.

The tournament will begin with two rounds of continuous play on Monday at 9 a.m. CT. The third and final round will begin at 9 a.m. CT on Tuesday, Feb. 9.

San Diego State will host the two-day event at the par 72, 6,318-yard Farms Golf Club. The field will feature No. 22 TCU, Arizona, Colorado, Hawai'i, Long Beach State, New Mexico, San Diego State, UC Irvine, UCLA, USC and Washington State. The Green Wave will be paired with New Mexico and TCU throughout the tournament.

The Green Wave enter the season after the shortened 2019-20 season with five returners and three newcomers. Sophomore Carlota Palacios led the team last season with a 73.48 stroke average. She logged four top 25 finishes, topped off by her second-place finish at the Bettie Lou Evans Invitational.

Senior Jennifer Rosenberg returns for her senior season after posting a career-best 74.22stroke average over six events last season. She posted her best finish at the All State Sugar Bowl Intercollegiate, where she tied for tenth with a three-under 216.

Junior Isabella Cardenas and sophomores Hanna Lui and Sandra Vazquez round out the returns. Junior Hannah Rose Bruxvoort and freshmen Miriam Emmert and Daozeng "Cleo" Liu join the team for the 2021 season.

The lineup for the Green Wave this week will include Rosenberg at No. 1, freshman Liu at No. 2, Palacios at No. 3, Emmert at No. 4 and Bruxvoort at No. 5.
