
Golf Closes First Day at American Athletic Conference Championship

PINEHURST, N.C. – The Tulane University golf team closed the first day of the American Athletic Conference Tournament in eighth.
The Green Wave shot 306 in first round as a team.
Freshman Daozeng "Cleo" Liu led the Wave with a score of 3-over 75 on the first day of the tournament to place tied for 17th. She had two birdies on the day.
Sophomore Sandra Vazquez also placed tied for 17th at 3-over 75. She logged two birdies on the day.
Senior Jennifer Rosenberg closed the day tied for 24th at 4-over 76. She registered two birdies on the round.
Sophomore Hanna Liu will head to the second round tied for 34th. She had one birdie on the day.
Sophomore Carlota Palacios finished the first round tied for 45th.
UCF and Tulsa are tied for the top spot at 5-over 293. East Carolina's Dorthea Forbrigd and Memphis' Abby Herrmann leads all golfers at 1-under 71.
