
Golf Heads to the AAC Championship

NEW ORLEANS – The Tulane University golf team will head to Pinehurst No. 6 in North Carolina for the American Athletic Conference Championship on Sunday-Tuesday, April 18-20.

Pinehurst No. 6 was designed by George and Tom Fazio and first opened in 1979, with Tom Fazio redesigning the layout in 2005. The course will play at a par-72, 6,290 yards during the American Women's Golf Championship. The Green Wave will be paired with Memphis and tee off from the first hole between 9 and 9:32 a.m. on Sunday.

No. 20 Houston and No. 31 UCF will lead all teams off the tee at 7 a.m. followed by Tulsa and USF between 7:40-8:12 and East Carolina and SMU between 8:20-8:52 a.m. Cincinnati and Wichita State will be the last teams of the first hole from 9:40-10:12 a.m.

Senior Jennifer Rosenberg will return to the lineup after finishing 10th at the All State Sugar Bowl Intercollegiate. This was her best finish of the season.

Sophomore Carlota Palacios had her best finish of the season with a second place in New Orleans at the All State Sugar Bowl Intercollegiate. She shot a program record 8-under 64 in the final round of the tournament at English Turn.

Sophomore Sandra Vazquez logged her best finish of the season by tying for 17th at the Lone Star Invitational.

Sophomore Hanna Liu posted her lowest round of the season with a 2-over 74 in the final round at the Lone Star Invitational.

Freshman Daozeng Liu shot a career-best 1-under 71 in the first round of Lone Star Invitational. She also finished tied for 10th at the All State Sugar Bowl Intercollegiate.
