NEW ORLEANS – The Tulane University women's tennis team will open its 2022 spring schedule on Thursday as it hosts Alcorn State for a doubleheader. The matches are scheduled to begin at noon at 3 p.m. CT at the City Park Tennis Center.
"We've had one of the best preseasons in a long time," head coach Maria Brito said. "They have worked extremely hard not only on the court and in the weight room, but in their mental aspect as well. The girls have a new mindset, and they are ready and prepared to compete with anyone."
Coming off a successful fall season during which the Green Wave tallied more than 80 wins as a team, Tulane opens with the Braves for the second consecutive season. The Green Wave defeated Alcorn State 4-0 and 7-0 in a doubleheader to begin the season in 2021.
Competition will begin at noon for the first match of the twin-bill between Tulane and the Braves at City Park Tennis Center Thursday. Fans can follow along with live scoring by CLICKING HERE.
