
Jones Named to AAC Weekly Honor Roll

Redshirt junior Dynah Jones averaged 15.7 points during a 3-0 week for the Green Wave.
NEW ORLEANS – Tulane University women's basketball redshirt junior guard Dynah Jones was named to the American Athletic Conference Weekly Honor Roll on Monday by the league office.
Jones earned the honor after leading the Green Wave to a perfect 3-0 week while averaging 15.7 points, 2.7 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 2.0 steals per game. She connected at a 42.8 percent clip from the field and sank 20-of-26 free throws in three league wins for Tulane.
The New Orleans native began the week with a 9-of-11 performance from the charity stripe to finish with 13 points, three boards and two assists in a road victory over Houston 64-59. Jones followed that performance by scoring a team-high 17 points to go along with four rebounds, three assists and two steals in an 81-74 win over Memphis at home. She capped her impressive week by leading the team with 17 points, three steals and two assists at home to defeat Wichita State 67-52 on Saturday, Jan. 22.
This is the first conference honor of the season for Jones and the second time she has been named to the league honor roll in her career. She joins redshirt seniors Moon Ursin and Arsula Clark as Green Wave members to land an AAC weekly honor so far this season.
The Green Wave will be back in action on Wednesday, Jan. 26, as it travels to Orlando, Florida, to face UCF. Tipoff between Tulane and the Knights is set for 5 p.m. CT and will be aired on ESPN+. Fans also can listen to the games live on the Tulane Sports Network from Learfield on 88.3 WRBH with Gus Kattengell or streaming on the Tulane Athletics App and The Varsity Network App.
