
Bowling Heads to the PVAM Invitational

NEW ORLEANS, La. – The No. 13 Tulane bowling team returns to action this weekend, heading to Dallas, for the PVAM Invitational hosted by the Panthers of Prairie View A&M.

The three-day event gets underway Friday at the International Training and Research Center in Dallas and runs through Sunday afternoon. The invitational will feature 12 total teams this year, as teams will square off Friday with five Baker matches, five traditional matches on Saturday and the best four out of seven bracket finals Sunday.
"This tournament will showcase some of the best teams in NCAA bowling in this Country," head coach Hayley Veitch said. "Preparation has gone well over the past couple of weeks and the team has a solid game plan for the start of competition."

The Green Wave are coming off a seventh-place finish at the Stormin Blue & White Classic in Las Vegas, where the team knocked down 13,119 total pins and went 5-7 overall in the event. Despite begin the team's worst finish of the year, it remains a top 10 finish.

Of the 12 teams in the field, 11 are ranked in the December NTCA Top 25 and include No. 1 Sam Houston State, No. 2 McKendree, No. 3 Nebraska, No. 4 North Carolina A&T, No. 5 Vanderbilt, No. 6 Arkansas State, No. 7 Louisiana Tech, No. 8 Youngstown State, No. 13 Tulane, No. 15 Fairleigh Dickinson and No. 19 Sacred Heart.Â
