Jan 30, 2022 | Women's Bowling
DALLAS – The Tulane University women's bowling team placed tenth at the 2022 PVAM Invitational. The three-day tournament was held at International Training and Research Center where Prairie View A&M University served as the host.
The Green Wave were seeded tenth in the championship bracket, but claimed head-to-head matchups against Sacred Heart (4-2, First Round) and Arkansas State (4-3, Second Round). Tulane finished the championship round on a high note, as it went undefeated in the final day of tournament.
"To get 7 wins in this competitive field is really commendable," head coach Hayley Veitch said. "The team certainly rose to the occasion and were highly competitive in baker match play. It was a fun weekend of memories."
Madison McCall finished the tournament with the highest scoring average at 206.00. Teammate Amerlia Vasquez was not far behind, averaging a total of 201.20, which ranked 27th overall.
Tulane returns to action on Feb. 11-14, as it travels to the LA Tech Tournament in Dallas.
