ATLANTA – Tulane swimming and diving fell to both Georgia Tech and Arkansas in their final meet of the regular season this afternoon inside the McAuley Aquatic Center in Atlanta.
"All in all, our team had a successful regular season in terms of growth throughout the year," head coach Leah Stancil said. "There were some ups and downs, but everyone learned and adjusted to any mistakes that needed to be corrected."
Arkansas defeated Tulane 218.50 to 79.50, while Georgia Tech defeated the Green Wave 237.00 to 63.00.
Lilly Byrne had the only podium finish of the day, taking the top spot in the 1000-yard freestyle with a time of 9:58.63. The victory marked her tenth of the season.
"We have two and a half weeks until AAC Conference Championships, Stancil said. "We will use that time to continue to fine-tune our skills. I am proud of these women, and I am looking forward to what the future holds for them."
The Green Wave return to action Wednesday, February. 16 when they compete in the American Athletic Conference Championship in Dallas.
