
Russell and Yelamanchili Advance to Quarterfinalls at ITA Southern Regionals

BATON ROUGE, La. – The doubles duo of Charlotte Russell and Lahari Yelamanchili for Tulane University women's tennis picked up another win on Saturday to advance to the quarterfinals of the main draw at the ITA Southern Regional Championships
The Green Wave pairing of Russell and Yelamanchili took to the court against 12th-ranked Kelsey Mize and Ludmila Karaisova from Ole Miss on Saturday with a trip to the quarterfinals on the line. The Tulane duo was up to the challenge defeating the team from Troy 8-5 to earn a trip to the next round of play.
Meanwhile, the singles main draw journey for Adelaide Lavery came to a close on Saturday as she fell in a hard-fought three-set match to six-seed Anastasiya Komar from LSU.
Russell and Yelamanchili will continue to represent the Green Wave on Sunday as they will take on Kasia Pitak and Ola Pitak from Alabama with a chance to advance to the doubles main draw semifinals.
