No. 17 Bowling Celebrates Senior Day On the Final Day of the Colonial Lanes Classic

Harahan, Louisiana – The No. 17 nationally ranked Tulane University bowling team celebrated the program's two seniors, Jenica Baron and Amelia Vasquez, on third day of competition of the Colonial Lanes Classic on Sunday at Colonial Lanes.
The Green Wave posted an average of 190.77 on the third day and had a 1-2 record as the program totaled 3434 pins. Overall, the team went 6-7 on the weekend. Over the three days the program knocked down 12,792 pins.
"A weekend of highs and lows but we ended on a good win and we fought all tournament," explained head coach Hayley Veitch. "It's still early in the season so we know that we have to work on a few things to continue to progress and get more wins. I want to personally thank all our families, supporters, the Tulane Athletics Department and Colonials Lanes for everything you did to make this tournament a success."
The program started the day with a four-game loss to Sam Houston State. The program defeated the Bearkats by a 209-185 score in the first game, but then lost 192-172, 192-185, 203-186 and 212-183 to fall.
The second set of the day against Jackson State was a thrilling 4-2-1 loss. The first game saw Tulane win 168-159. The second was a 190-176 loss. The third was a 211-193 victory. The fourth was a 223-210 loss. The fifth ended in a tie at 202. The sixth was a 193-183 loss. The seventh was a close 168-166 loss.
The third matchup of the afternoon saw Tulane defeat UAB 4-2. The individual games scores were L 221-156, W 191-165, L 195-190, W 205-171, W 184-164, W 257-172.
The University of Maryland Eastern Shore was the crowned the 2022 tournament champions.
Tulane next will be in action from Oct. 28-30 at the Dezy Strong Classic in Corman, New York.
