Tulane Women’s Basketball Hosts Exhibition Game Against Loyola
Oct 31, 2022 | Women's Basketball
NEW ORLEANS –Tulane University women's basketball will take the court for its final tune-up prior to the 2022-23 regular season, as it welcomes its neighbor Loyola University (La.) to the Avron B. Fogelman Arena in the Devlin Fieldhouse Tuesday night.
The game is set to tipoff at 6 p.m. and tickets are available for $5. Fans can follow along with live stats by clicking HERE.
Tulane has played the Wolf Pack six times in exhibition games since 2015 including the Wave's only exhibition game last season. The Green Wave is 6-0 in those matchups with the latest victory coming by a score of 79-54.
The Green Wave enters the 2022-23 campaign with eight letterwinners returning alongside four new faces with two transfers and two freshmen. Tulane will replace four of its five starters from the 2021-22 season as All-American Athletic Conference honoree Dynah Jones is the lone starter returning from a season ago. The newcomers on the roster are highlighted by transfers Rachel Hakes from Fairfield University and Kyren Whittington from Louisiana-Monroe.
The 2022-23 regular season slate will begin on Monday, Nov. 7, for the Green Wave as it welcomes Grambling State to Avron B. Fogelman Arena in the Devlin Fieldhouse. Tulane's game versus the Tigers will tip-off at 4 p.m. as part of a doubleheader with the Green Wave men's basketball team. The non-conference slate for the Wave also features home matchups against Alabama (Nov. 14) and LSU (Nov. 17) along with two neutral site games in the Cancun Challenge.
Conference action will open Saturday, Dec. 31, when the Green Wave hosts South Florida in Uptown. Tulane's first road conference matchup is set for Sunday, Jan. 8, at East Carolina.
